Independent salary and workplace data for international school teachers.
Reviews For Teachers helps teachers compare the complete employment package and the reality behind the brochure: base pay, housing, flights, savings, leadership, workload, and day-to-day conditions from people who've actually worked at the school. Today the site covers 650+ schools with 800+ salary reports across roughly 105 countries.
No advertising. No employer-paid promotion. No way for a school to pay to delete a review. Sample size, dates, and source stay visible so thin data never looks like certainty. How we handle data.
The rules this site runs on
These aren't marketing slogans. They're the operational rules that determine what gets published and what doesn't.
Schools can't pay to remove reviews
Reviews only come down if they break the community guidelines — personal attacks, identifying named staff, fabricated information. Not because a school didn't like what was said.
Salaries are first-party only
Every salary report comes from a teacher who worked there. Nothing is scraped from job postings or recruiter brochures. We encourage the complete package (housing, flights, tax context, savings), not base pay alone. Outliers are trimmed on country and city pages so one bad number doesn't skew the median.
Reviewed before publishing
Every review and salary report is checked manually before going live. The bar: it has to describe a real experience and not identify named staff. Approval typically takes a few days.
Anonymous by default
Contributors are identified only by role (e.g. "Math Teacher"). Email is collected to prevent spam and is never displayed, shared, or sold.
How it works
The flow is deliberately simple — submission, review, publish.
A teacher submits
Salary reports take 2–3 minutes. Reviews take a little longer because they're text. Email required so we can confirm the submission is human; the email is never shown publicly.
Manual moderation
Each submission is reviewed against the guidelines. If something needs clarifying, you'll hear back at the email on file. If it's ready, it appears on the school's page.
Aggregated and searchable
Salary medians and ranges are computed per school, per city, and per country, always with report counts beside them. Reviews stay attached to the school with role, tenure, and date context. You can browse without an account; membership unlocks per-report detail (housing, flights, savings).
What this site isn't
- ·Not a job board. No listings, no recruiter spam. Research only.
- ·Not an employer-paid review site. Schools have no relationship with us. They can't pay, sponsor, or remove content.
- ·Not affiliated with ISR, Search Associates, ISAT, or any school network.
- ·Not finished. The dataset grows when teachers contribute. If a school is missing or thin on data, that's an invitation, not a hidden rating.
